Large flocks of migratory birds heading north have arrived at the lakes and wetlands in Tongling, a city in eastern China's Anhui Province

They began arriving in the city after the Spring Festival holiday, which ended on Feb 4, transforming it into a sanctuary for migratory birds such as swans, geese, and spot-billed ducks, as they make their northward seasonal journey.

A large number of these birds gathered in Chenyaohu Town for rest and forage. As the sun sets, the golden glow on the water creates a mesmerizing spectacle. Thousands of birds take flight, bringing vibrancy and life to the tranquil land.
