The medical team at the 9th Asian Winter Games has earned widespread recognition and appreciation from athletes for its timely emergency response and professionalism, and ranks among the best in the world, according to an official from the Olympic Council of Asia.

Throughout the week-long event, the team remained on high alert to ensure the safety of all competitors.

In the second round of the women's slalom of alpine skiing, Arina Shabanova from Kyrgyzstan sustained a serious injury and was unable to move. The medical team provided immediate medical treatment at spot, and later performed surgery after a thorough examination. The 45-minute procedure was successful, and the athlete has been recovering well. She and her coach later wrote a letter of gratitude to the medical team.

Providing medical support for a high-level winter sports competition requires more than just medical expertise. To reach injured athletes quickly on icy or snowy terrain, team members also trained in hiking and skiing.

"There have been athletes from China and abroad getting hurt these days, and they received on-time medical treatment. Through this event, the greatest achievement of our hospital is that we have built a highly capable medical team with not only top medical skills, but also exceptional mountaineering, cross-country hiking, and skiing skills," said Xu Wanhai, deputy director of the Yabuli competition zone of the 9th Asian Winter Games.

Their dedication has been widely recognized. Park Joo-hee, vice chair of the Medical Committee at the Olympic Council of Asia, praised the team as world-class professionals.

"(In) the world actually, not only for the Asia, they are very (professional) specialists. And they give all kind of medical service to them. They (are) exactly on time. They did surgery and (every) medical treatment. So then they are very happy and they (are) now back to their own country. I heard that (their) recoveries are going well, so I believe they will be back to the competition soon. Our athletes (are) happy as well. Thank you for everything, (and thanks to) our medical team in Yabuli too," said Park.

More than 20 films will hit Chinese screens during the three-day Qingming Festival holiday from Saturday to Monday, spanning genres from revolutionary historical dramas, realism movies to suspense thrillers, according to the China Film Administration on Thursday.

Revolutionary historical films such as Blood-Spattered Cliff, Eight Sons, Eight Soldiers, and Half Of The Quilt, will pay tribute to martyrs through the lens.

Three films -- It's OK, Now I Met Her, and Sunshine Women's Choir -- tell moving stories of love, growth, and reconciliation.

It's OK is a contemporary family comedy that follows a mother and daughter navigating their joyful yet turbulent relationship. Now I Met Her tells a rebellious teenager who gets to know his late mother through her old diary. Sunshine Women's Choir, a film from the Taiwan region of China, portrays the "perfect" maternal love of "imperfect mothers."

The suspense film Game of Identity tells the story of two people from different backgrounds who accidentally swap lives, setting off an unexpected adventure. The documentary films Seeking Nature: The Code of Life, and Missions to the Moon (Part One) explore the connection between humanity and science.

Imported films from different countries, including The Super Mario Bros. Movie 2, Project Hail Mary, and Hoppers, will deliver spectacular cinematic experiences to audiences.

The Qingming Festival, or Tomb-Sweeping Day, falls on April 5 this year. It is a traditional Chinese festival for honoring the deceased and paying tribute to ancestors. The holiday also provides a short break for Chinese citizens as they engage in outdoor activities and sightseeing.
