China is showcasing an array of its cutting-edge defense products at the 2025 International Defense Exhibition and Conference kicked off in United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Monday.

The event attracted 1,565 defense companies from over 65 countries to showcase the latest defense technologies and solutions, marking the largest-ever edition and featuring space defense, AI technology applications, and unmanned systems in the defense sector.

The China Pavilion, composed of around 60 Chinese defense companies, is among the largest of the 41 national pavilions. It covered traditional defense sectors as well as the latest innovations in cyber technology, AI, and drones, and offered Chinese solutions to global peace and security.

Among all exhibits, one of the feature products of Chinese groups is the latest artillery system with an autoloader function.

"This turret adopts a modular design, meaning it is separated from the chassis. In the traditional artillery modules, we have loaders and gunners. But our unmanned artillery features an integrated design with one-click control, requiring no extra operators. Once on the battlefield, the entire process, from loading, orientation, and ammunition handling to firing, is automated," said Chen Xiangyu, a Chinese exhibitors.

Another highlight is China's integrated electronic information system that is designed for electronic warfare, a frontier domain in modern warfare. Consisting of dozens of equipment, the system integrates communications, radar, and electrical-optical jamming capacities.

"For example, we have a specialized radar jamming equipment group to counter radar, and a group focused on jamming enemy radio communications. Additionally, the terminal defense equipment group we are displaying at the back targets small drones on the battlefield. It integrates various anti-drone functions and can even be mounted on a vehicle," said Liu Shuang, another staff member at the China Pavilion.

Hungarians voted in parliamentary elections on Sunday, with about 8.1 million people eligible to cast ballots, according to the National Election Office.

Polls opened at 06:00 local time and closed at 19:00, with initial results expected late on Sunday evening.

Of the total, about 7.6 million voters were eligible to cast ballots in person at more than 10,000 polling stations nationwide, while some 500,000 were eligible to vote by mail.

Five parties or alliances are competing in the election. The latest opinion polls showed strong support for both Prime Minister Viktor Orban's ruling Fidesz-Christian Democratic People's Party alliance and the opposition Tisza party led by Peter Magyar.

Among smaller parties, the far-right Our Homeland Movement is seen as having a chance to enter parliament, while others, including the Democratic Coalition and the Hungarian Two-Tailed Dog Party, are widely viewed as unlikely to cross the threshold.

This election marks Orban's fourth parliamentary race since returning to power in 2010, with the outcome set to determine whether he can secure a fifth consecutive term.

Under Hungary's electoral law, parliamentary elections are held every four years. The Hungarian parliament has 199 seats, including 106 filled through direct elections in single-member constituencies and 93 allocated to parties that enter parliament. The party or alliance that secures a majority of seats has the right to form a government.
