The Ministry of Commerce has added 15 U.S. entities to China's export control list to safeguard national security and interests and fulfill international obligations, including non-proliferation commitments, as it announced on Tuesday.

The export of dual-use items to the 15 entities, including Leidos, Gibbs and Cox, IP Video Market Info and Shield AI, is prohibited, and any ongoing export activities to these entities must be stopped immediately, the ministry stated.

The ministry added that in exceptional cases where export is deemed necessary, the exporter must apply for approval.

The decision was made in accordance with Chinese laws and regulations, a spokesperson with the ministry said in a statement -- stressing that no exporter shall be allowed to violate these control measures.
