A recent orchestral performance by Chinese and Russian musicians blended together classic folk songs from the two countries, highlighting the harmonious fusion of cultures and the beautiful friendship between the two peoples.

The Chinese-Russian Symphony Orchestra of the Harbin Conservatory of Music, a prestigious art institution located in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, performed the orchestral work "Blossoms," as part of an international cultural exchange TV program called "Harmony in Diversity", co-produced by China Media Group (CMG) and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

Inspired by two famous flower-themed folk songs, the "Jasmine Flower" of China and the "Oh, the Kalina Flowers Are in Bloom" of Russia, the show perfectly fused the two classic melodies, conveying the common desire for a better life and extolling the friendship between the people of the two countries.

The performance "Blossoms," along with a dozen other carefully choreographed music shows, was aired on CMG's CCTV-1 channel on March 8.

China Media Group's (CMG) light show for the upcoming Spring Festival illuminated the skyline of Nairobi, the capital of Kenya on Friday evening, bringing Chinese New Year greetings to East Africa.

The spectacular display took place on the landmark Global Trade Center, one of Nairobi's most prominent skyscrapers. As night fell, the building's expansive glass facade transformed into a massive digital canvas.

Featuring the CMG logo, four galloping steeds, and greetings in both Chinese and English, the light show conveyed the enduring vitality for the Year of the Horse.

The entire show was dominated by red and gold, accented with traditional patterns of red lanterns and Xiangyun, or auspicious cloud.

The fusion of high-tech lighting effects and classic Chinese cultural symbols created a visual harmony, lighting up Nairobi's cityscape.

The Spring Festival, or the Chinese New Year, is the most important traditional holiday for the Chinese people, celebrated with family reunions and wishes for good luck in the coming year.

This year's Spring Festival falls on Feb 17, marking the beginning of the Year of the Horse.
