Palestinian death toll in Gaza rises to 50,912

The Palestinian death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 50,912, with 115,981 injured from Israeli military operations since October 7, 2023, according to a Gaza health authorities' statement on Friday.

In the past 24 hours, 26 bodies and 106 injured individuals were transported to health facilities across Gaza, as was reported in Friday's update.

Since Israel resumed military operations in Gaza on March 18, which led to the collapse of a two-month ceasefire, 1,542 Palestinians have been killed and 3,940 injured, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the region.

The central parity rate of the Chinese currency renminbi, or the yuan, strengthened 20 pips to 7.0108 against the U.S. dollar Monday, according to the China Foreign Exchange Trade System.

In China's spot foreign exchange market, the yuan is allowed to rise or fall by 2 percent from the central parity rate each trading day.

The central parity rate of the yuan against the U.S. dollar is based on a weighted average of prices offered by market makers before the opening of the interbank market each business day.
