China-Cambodia cultural exchange event held in Phnom Penh

A China-Cambodia cultural exchange event was held on Thursday in Cambodia’s capital Phnom Penh, coinciding with Chinese President Xi Jinping's state visit.

China Media Group (CMG) and Cambodia's Ministry of Information, Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, Ministry of Tourism, and the Royal Academy of Cambodia co-hosted the event.

Cambodian People's Party President and Senate President Samdech Techo Hun Sen sent a congratulatory letter to the event.

During the event, CMG reached a series of practical cooperation agreements with multiple Cambodian government agencies and media outlets, and launched the China-Cambodia media partnership mechanism, the 10th "Open-air Cinema" film tour program, and other activities.

The central parity rate of the Chinese currency renminbi, or the yuan, strengthened 20 pips to 7.0108 against the U.S. dollar Monday, according to the China Foreign Exchange Trade System.

In China's spot foreign exchange market, the yuan is allowed to rise or fall by 2 percent from the central parity rate each trading day.

The central parity rate of the yuan against the U.S. dollar is based on a weighted average of prices offered by market makers before the opening of the interbank market each business day.
