Russia said on Monday that its forces had captured Kamenka settlement in the eastern Kharkiv region, while Ukraine, on the same day, claimed to have struck multiple Russian military targets.

Over the past 24 hours, the Russian troops repelled multiple Ukrainian attacks across various fronts and launched their offensives in the directions of Sumy, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, said the Russian Defense Ministry.

The Russian air defense units destroyed many Ukrainian weapons and equipment, including armored vehicles, cars and artillery, the ministry said.

In addition, the Russian forces also attacked several ammunition depots of the Ukrainian army and temporary deployment points in 154 areas, it said.

Also on Monday, the Ukrainian side said its forces repelled multiple Russian attacks in the directions of Kharkiv, Kupyansk and Pokrovsk, and destroyed Russian tanks, armored vehicles, 31 artillery systems and 105 vehicles.

The Ukrainian air force, missile units and artillery units attacked two rally points with presence of Russian military personnel and equipment, four Russian command posts and three artillery systems, the Ukrainian side said.

The People's Bank of China (PBOC), the country's central bank, has renewed a bilateral currency swap agreement with the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye.

The total value of this agreement is 35 billion yuan (about 4.88 billion U.S. dollars), or 189 billion Turkish lira, the PBOC said in a statement on its website on Friday.

The agreement is valid for three years and can be renewed upon mutual consent, according to the statement.

Meanwhile, the two sides have also signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a yuan clearing arrangement in Türkiye.

These arrangements mark a new stage in China-Türkiye financial cooperation and are expected to facilitate the use of local currencies by enterprises and financial institutions of both countries for cross-border settlements, further promoting and facilitating bilateral trade and investment, the statement said.
