The 2025 International Medical Innovation and Cooperation Forum opened Tuesday in Fangchenggang, in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, focusing on advancing cross-border medical innovation and cooperation.
With over 400 participants, including leaders and officials from Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states, the forum features four sub-forums addressing key topics such as medical health and industrial innovation development.
The forum also introduced the "2025 International Medical Innovation and Cooperation Forum Initiative," designed to enhance collaboration in medical innovation across borders.
Centered on the theme "Shared Medical Innovation, Sustainable Health Development," the initiative aims to strengthen medical cooperation among SCO countries, ASEAN members, and Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) participants.
China has reaffirmed its commitment to fostering global cooperation by promoting innovation sharing, establishing high-level medical pilot zones, and facilitating exchanges in traditional medicine.
The initiative seeks to build a global health and wellness community, based on mutual benefit and shared growth, while reinforcing China's broader vision of advancing healthcare and medical innovation on the global stage.
