China Media Group (CMG) is launching a series of special programs starting Sunday to celebrate Youth Day in China, highlighting the inspiring stories and patriotic spirit of Chinese youth in the new era.

As part of the lineup, the News Channel of China Central Television (CCTV) will air a two-day special featuring the remarkable stories of youth.

Meanwhile, the CCTV General Channel will broadcast a program titled "Ode to Youth" presenting stories of young people who are taking the lead and driving progress in various sectors.

In addition, Season 2 of "The Choice of Gen Z" will be aired on the CCTV Documentary Channel.

CMG's new media platforms will also launch a special live program spotlighting young people in emerging professions, highlighting their sense of responsibility in meeting the needs of the times.

On May 4 each year, China celebrates its Youth Day in tribute to the patriotic legacy of the May Fourth Movement that took place in 1919.

The central parity rate of the Chinese currency renminbi, or the yuan, strengthened 20 pips to 7.0108 against the U.S. dollar Monday, according to the China Foreign Exchange Trade System.

In China's spot foreign exchange market, the yuan is allowed to rise or fall by 2 percent from the central parity rate each trading day.

The central parity rate of the yuan against the U.S. dollar is based on a weighted average of prices offered by market makers before the opening of the interbank market each business day.
