Chinese President Xi Jinping stood to give his regards to the Guard of Honor of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) as they marched through Red Square during a military parade in Moscow on Friday morning local time.
The PLA Guard of Honor squad, comprising 119 officers and soldiers, participated in the grand parade at the Red Square marking the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Soviet Union's Great Patriotic War (1941-1945).
Alongside Russian President Vladimir Putin, leaders from more than 20 countries and international organizations attended the event.
The Victory Day is one of the most ceremonious festivals in Russia, for which the country holds large-scale military parades in various cities involving tens of thousands of troops as well as most advanced weapons and military equipment.
