The China Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka has come alive with vibrant demonstration of intangible cultural heritage from southwest China's mountainous Guizhou Province during its special themed week "Colorful Guizhou, Green Future" which opened on June 5.

At the expo, visitors are treated to an immersive showcase featuring intricate silver jewelry, traditional embroideries, premium teas, and the iconic Moutai liquor - all highlighting Guizhou's rich cultural legacy.

The opening ceremony dazzled with performances of dances and songs of the Miao and Dong ethnic minority groups.

The event demonstrates centuries-old craftsmanship of batik dyeing, stitchwork and silver-smithing techniques, all of which are listed as Guizhou's intangible cultural heritages.

A highlight came during the "Moutai Day" celebration, where the 100-year-old brand unveiled a special commemorative bottle for the Expo.

"I really would like to try it if I get a chance," said a Japanese visitor.

"The bottle carvings are absolutely exquisite. I am very interested in it," said another Japanese visitor.

Themed "Designing the Future Society of Our Lives," the World Expo 2025 is underway in Osaka, Japan's third-largest city, from April 13 to Oct 13.
