Meanwhile, the European Union (EU), in a statement, reiterated its strong commitment to regional security, including the security of the State of Israel, and called on all sides to abide by international law, show restraint and refrain from taking further steps which could lead to serious consequences such as potential radioactive release.
The EU has always been clear that Iran must never be allowed to acquire a nuclear weapon and is concerned about the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)'s recent report based on which the IAEA Board of Governors found Iran in non-compliance with its legally binding nuclear safeguards obligations under the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT).
The EU will continue to contribute to all diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions and find a lasting solution to the Iranian nuclear issue which can only be solved through a negotiated deal, the statement said.
In addition, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a phone talk with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday to discuss the escalating tensions between Israel and Iran.
The Egyptian presidency issued a statement, warning that Israel's escalating military actions in the Middle East will have catastrophic consequences for regional security and stability, potentially plunging the entire region into chaos.
Both Egypt and Türkiye emphasized that the only pathway to a peaceful resolution of the current crisis is the immediate cessation of military operations and the resumption of nuclear talks between the United States and Iran, with Oman acting as a mediator, according to the statement.
Also on Saturday, Erdogan engaged in a phone conversation with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to discuss regional tensions.
According to a statement from the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, Erdogan strongly condemned Israel's large-scale attack on Iran, asserting that Israel was attempting to sabotage negotiations on the Iranian nuclear issue and drag the entire Middle East into conflict. Erdogan emphasized that diplomatic channels are the sole solution to resolving the Iranian nuclear issue.
In response to the escalation of regional tensions, Jordan convened a National Security Council meeting on Saturday to discuss and evaluate the regional situation and its impact on Jordan's security.
King Abdullah II of Jordan stressed at the meeting that Israel's military actions violated international law and Iran's sovereignty, which not only aggravated regional tensions, but also posed a serious threat to regional stability.
Noting that Jordan will not become a battlefield of any conflict. Abdullah II reiterated that only through diplomatic channels, dialogue and negotiation and abiding by international law can long-term peace and stability in the region be achieved.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) released a statement on Saturday in which the member states expressed serious concern over the escalating tensions in the Middle East and strongly condemned the military strikes carried out by Israel on the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Friday.
Such aggressive actions against civilian targets, including energy and transport infrastructure, which have resulted in civilian casualties, are a gross violation of international law and the United Nations Charter, which has constitute an infringement on Iran's sovereignty, caused damage to regional and international security, and posed serious risks to global peace and stability, the statement said.
The SCO member states firmly advocate for the resolution of the situation surrounding Iran's nuclear program exclusively through peaceful, political, and diplomatic means, the statement added.
