U.S. President Donald Trump called for the immediate evacuation of Tehran in a social media post on Monday as the Israel-Iran conflict enters its fifth day with no sign of deescalation.
Trump, who was attending the G7 summit in Canada, chastised Iran on his Truth Social platform, insisting that the country should have signed the "deal" he formulated. In the same post, he wrote that "everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran."
Later, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed President Trump's early departure from the G7 summit on social media, citing the situation in the Middle East.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio also returned to Washington, cutting short his participation in the G7 summit.
Israel launched its heaviest air assault on Iran on June 13, striking nuclear facilities in Tehran and other sites. These attacks damaged military targets and residential buildings, killing at least 244 people and injuring 1,277, with more than 90 percent of them civilians, according to the Iranian Health Ministry.
Iran has retaliated with missile and drone attacks on Israel, killing more than 20 Israelis.
On Sunday, Trump denied U.S. involvement in the Israeli attacks on Iran, but hinted at the possibility of future action.

According to sources, Al-Astal was a key member of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas). A Palestinian armed group in Gaza, backed by Israel, claimed responsibility for the shooting on Monday.
According to a report by the official Palestinian news agency on Monday, Israeli forces continued their raids across several areas of the West Bank and around Jerusalem, arresting more than 20 Palestinian residents and injuring one person. In some areas, the Israeli forces also conducted house searches, imposed roadblocks, and leveled farmland. Meanwhile, large numbers of Israeli Jewish settlers, under the protection of the Israeli military, entered Palestinian farmlands to graze livestock, damage olive trees, and assault Palestinian shepherds while attempting to seize animals, leading to clashes with local residents.
