Amid rising tensions between Israel and Iran, an Israeli resident hunkering down in a Tel Aviv bomb shelter shared a heartfelt plea for peace and a quick conclusion to the turmoil.
As red alert sirens warned of incoming fire across Tel Aviv, the unsettling sounds sent residents scrambling to bomb shelters. The conflict, now in its eighth consecutive day as of June 20, shows no signs of de-escalation.
Nata, a resident, shared her fears with China Global Television Network (CGTN), describing her family's profound anxiety in the face of uncertain circumstances.
"Right now, I am very scared. This situation, it's horrible to me and to all my family and I can't go anywhere. It's very bad. Now I don't know what will happen in the future," Nata said.
She voiced her hope for a swift resolution to the conflict, yearning for peace amid uncertainty.
"It started [about] one week ago. We are very scared and I feel very, very bad right now. I hope it is finished right now. It's a dream. And I think it will finish in a long time, like one month or two months, something like that," Nata added.
