Kyrgyzstan's "Black Red Yellow" won the best feature film award, the top honor at Saturday's Golden Goblet Awards Ceremony of the 27th Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF).
The Golden Goblet Awards are the highest accolades presented at SIFF, which is the first and only Class-A international film festival in the Chinese-speaking world.
Competition sections for this year's Golden Goblet Awards fall into five categories, which include main competition, Asian new talent, documentary, animation and short films.
After selection, 49 works from 28 countries and regions were shortlisted for this year's Golden Goblet Awards.
Trophy of the best feature film award of the Golden Goblet Awards went to "Black Red Yellow," a Kyrgyzstan production directed by Aktan Arym Kubat.
Chinese filmmaker Cao Baoping won the best director award for the comedy drama film "One Wacky Summer," 10 years after he received the same award for his previous work "The Dead End" at the film fest.
The best screenplay award went to Polish film "Loss of Balance," which centers on students' dilemma in acting schools.
"My Father's Son," a film jointly produced by China and France, won the outstanding artistic achievement award.
The 27th Shanghai International Film Festival officially opened on June 14 in Shanghai, with 49 works shortlisted for this year's Golden Goblet Awards, featuring over 400 domestic and international films screened across Shanghai.
Founded in 1993, the SIFF is a prestigious global event, driven by Shanghai's ambition to become an international cultural hub. The festival has garnered growing international attention thanks to China's flourishing film market.
