The Chinese Embassy in Jordan facilitated the evacuation of a group of Chinese citizens and their family members from Israel on Wednesday.
The 56 evacuees, including students, enterprise employees, workers, and a few foreign family members of overseas Chinese, entered Jordan by land.
"Given the ongoing uncertainties of the regional situation, to ensure the safe evacuation of personnel is on top of the embassy's current agenda," said Gong Anmin, Charge d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Jordan.
"No matter where we are or how far away, the motherland is always our strongest backing," said Huang Chenwei, one of the evacuees.
The embassy said it will continue to provide necessary assistance to the evacuees base on their own wishes, whether it is going back to China or other follow-up arrangements.
Since the recent escalation of the Israel-Iran conflict, a total of 216 Chinese nationals have returned home safe via Jordan.
