The Palestinian death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 57,680, with 137,409 others injured, since the conflict between Hamas and Israel erupted on October 7, 2023, Gaza's health authorities said in a statement on Wednesday.
The death toll since March 18 this year, following a brief ceasefire, has reached 7,118, while the number of injured stands at 25,368, the statement said.
Over the past 24 hours, Israeli attacks have claimed 105 Palestinian lives and injured 530 others, according to the statement.
Among the dead were seven civilians waiting to receive aid.
According to the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said on Wednesday that he saw a possible temporary ceasefire as the start of negotiations on a permanent ceasefire.
