Russian forces continued to carry out air strikes on Ukrainian military-industrial facilities, while Ukraine reported interception of most of Russian drones in an overnight attack, the two sides said on Saturday.

Russian Defense Ministry said its forces used long-range, high-precision air-based weapons and attack drones to strike military-industrial facilities and military airfield infrastructure in Lviv, Kharkov and Lutsk on early morning of Saturday, and all targets were hit.

Russian also maintained offensive operations in the Sumy, Kharkov, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson directions.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russia had launched 26 cruise missiles and 597 drones at Ukraine overnight on Friday. About 20 missiles and the vast majority of drones were intercepted.

German Major General Christian Freuding told the German media on Friday that the first batch of German-funded long-range missiles will be delivered to Ukraine by the end of July.

He emphasized that Ukraine needs weapons capable of striking deep within Russian territory, targeting facilities such as warehouses, command facilities, airfields, and aircraft.
