Iran will in no way bow to force, pressure, or the deprivation of its people's legal rights, said Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Saturday in a phone call with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
During the phone conversation, the two leaders also talked about Iran's nuclear program, and the 12-day conflict between Israel and Iran.
Pezeshkian reiterated "the transparency and peaceful nature" of Iran's nuclear activities.
He stressed that Iran has always supported the promotion of peace, and has never sought war and insecurity.
In his talks, Pezeshkian also hailed the "historical, friendly and constructive" relations between Iran and Armenia, stressing that Iran's policy is to promote "constructive" interactions with all neighbors while respecting all states' territorial integrity.
The Armenian prime minister, for his part, extended condolences over the deaths of Iranian people in the Israeli attacks, condemning Israel's "aggressive" action.
He voiced his country's interest in expanding relations with Iran.
On June 13, Israel launched major airstrikes on several areas in Iran, including nuclear and military sites, killing senior commanders, nuclear scientists and civilians. Iran responded with multiple waves of missile and drone attacks on Israel, causing casualties and damage.
After 12 days of fighting, a ceasefire between Iran and Israel was reached on June 24.
