China has always urged joint efforts to develop open, inclusive and universally beneficial artificial intelligence (AI), said Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun at a regular briefing in Beijing on Thursday.

"China has always called on all parties to jointly develop open, inclusive and universally beneficial AI that is oriented toward goodness. We should not emphasize confrontations and competitions but strive for shared AI dividends and common development," said Guo.
