China launched a new group of satellites at 00:31 Beijing Time on Saturday in an offshore mission.

A Smart Dragon-3 (SD-3) carrier rocket lifted off from waters near the coast of Rizhao, a city in east China's Shandong Province, sending the Geely-04 constellation of satellites into planned orbit.

The Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in north China's Shanxi Province undertook the launch mission, which marked the sixth flight of the Smart Dragon-3 rocket.
