The seventh China-Arab States Expo will open on Thursday in Yinchuan, capital of northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, aiming to bring broader cooperation between China and Arab countries across various fields.

Jointly organized by the Ministry of Commerce, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the government of Ningxia, the four-day event will focus on commodity trade, service trade, and technology trade, featuring a range of economic and trade matchmaking activities and exhibitions.

Themed "Innovation, Green Development, and Prosperity," the event includes six major exhibition areas such as exhibition of BRI countries, regional economic cooperation exhibition, and exhibition of clean energy.

In addition to its existing signature events, it has introduced new activities such as silk road e-commerce and an artificial intelligence exhibition.

"Building on the success of the previous six editions, the China-Arab States Expo has gained significant influence among the Belt and Road Initiative countries, including those in the Arab region. Currently, representatives from 2,200 businesses and associations across 75 countries and regions have registered to attend, with an expected turnout of about 17,800 participants," said Zhu Dong, deputy director of the Commerce Department of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.

Since 2013, Ningxia has successfully hosted six editions of the China-Arab States Expo, attracting participation from 112 countries and regions and over 7,500 domestic and international companies.

In total, 1,616 trade and investment cooperation projects have been signed, focusing on key areas like infrastructure development, capacity cooperation, high-tech industries, health and wellness, and modern agriculture.
