The Belarusian President will also attend the commemorations marking the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War on Sept 3 in Beijing.

During the meeting, Xi pointed out that China and Belarus once fought side by side in and made significant contributions to defeating militarism and fascism, forging a deep friendship between the two countries.

Noting that once-in-a-century changes are unfolding across the world at a faster pace, Xi said humanity once again stands at a crossroads.

China is ready to work with Belarus to shoulder the responsibilities of the times, practice true multilateralism, and jointly promote world peace, development, cooperation, and win-win results, said Xi.

Xi emphasized that the China-Belarus all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership enjoys robust growth of development, urging the two countries to continue firmly support each other on issues concerning each other's core interests and major concerns.

He also called for efforts from both sides in high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, forming greater synergy between the development strategies of the two countries, fostering new highlights of cooperation, and creating new growth drivers to promote high-quality Belt and Road cooperation.

The Chinese president called for leveraging the outcomes of the China-Belarus years of science and technology innovation from 2024 to 2025 to accelerate the development of new quality productive forces and boost the development and revitalization of both countries.

He also urged expanded exchanges between the two sides in education, culture, tourism, youth, and subnational exchanges to forge close cultural bond.

China and Belarus should work closely within multilateral mechanisms such as the SCO and BRICS to advance the building of a community with a shared future for humanity, said Xi.

For his part, Lukashenko said whenever he comes to China, he is deeply inspired by the vibrant development and progress of the country.

Under the strong leadership of President Xi, China has been firmly determined to follow a development path suited to its own national conditions and achieved tremendous accomplishments, demonstrating a bright future, said Lukashenko, adding that no force can hold back China's development and rejuvenation.

China has maintained a just position in international and regional affairs, upheld multilateralism, safeguarded fairness and justice, taken the lead in cooperation within multilateral mechanisms such as the SCO, and made significant contributions to peace and stability in Eurasia and the world, he said.

Noting that Belarus is China's all-weather partner and reliable friend, Lukashenko said his country is willing to enhance exchanges on governance experience with China, deepen practical cooperation across various fields, and push for the greater development of bilateral relations.

The two sides signed multiple bilateral cooperation documents in areas such as science and technology, finance, metering, media, transportation, and customs inspection and quarantine.
