China's busiest port, the Port of Ningbo Zhoushan, in east China, has shattered its annual container throughput record, surpassing 30 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) 23 days earlier than last year, a milestone highlighting China's accelerating momentum in global maritime logistics.
Situated in Zhejiang Province, the port's strong performance reflects ongoing efforts to expand international shipping routes, enhance the multi-modal transport system, and optimize operational efficiency. These initiatives have helped stabilize and improve port production.
With 308 shipping routes now linking over 600 ports across more than 200 countries and regions, the port's rapid growth signals China's deepening integration into international trade flows and its strategic push to fortify global supply chain resilience.
