"China is deeply concerned about the escalating situation in the Middle East. China opposes actions that violate the sovereignty and security of relevant countries in the region, condemns all actions that harm innocent civilians and opposes any move that exacerbates tensions and could further escalate the regional situation. Violence cannot bring security, and the use of force will not lead to peace. We strongly urge all relevant parties, especially Israel, to make more positive efforts to cease fire, restart negotiations and restore peace and stability in the region, rather than doing the opposite," Lin said.
