More than ten new films ranging from historical epics to fantasy, comedy, and animation are set to hit Chinese cinemas during the eight-day National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, marking one of the year's most diverse and high-stakes box office seasons.

From epic war dramas to whimsical animations, the lineup reflects a strategic push to capture audiences of all ages and tastes, with studios banking on patriotic themes, family narratives, and genre-bending storytelling to drive holiday turnout.

"Volunteer Army: Peace at Last", focuses on the Chinese People's Volunteers' campaign from the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea (1950-1953) until the armistice agreement was signed. It recounts how soldiers fought fiercely until they forced the enemy to the negotiating table.

"A Writer's Odyssey" follows a novelist who attempts to destroy his own work, but his fictional characters launched a rebellion, plunging both the real world and the fictional realm into crisis. Ultimately, the novelist and his characters join forces to resolve the turmoil.

"Row to Win" tells the heartwarming story of a family bravely facing life's challenges with a lighthearted and humorous touch, blending laughter with tears.

"The Return of the Lame Hero" centers on the theme of anti-pickpocketing, telling the story of a young police officer who, despite suffering an unexpected setback on the very first day of his career, refuses to abandon his dream of becoming a police officer.

The National Day holiday lineup features a diverse range of animated films, spanning historical dramas to sci-fi adventures, catering to both children and adult audiences and further enriching the selection during this period.

The animated film "Three Kingdoms: Starlit Heroes", centers on Cao Cao, a prominent historical figure during the Three Kingdoms period (220-280), portraying the choices made by historical figures amidst the tumultuous times.

"I'm Bond, GG Bond," as the tenth installment in the franchise, breaks away from its traditional positioning for the children for the first time, shifting toward storytelling for all ages. It follows the journey of washed-up actor GG Bond as he overcomes challenges on set to achieve a remarkable comeback.

The sci-fi animated film "Zap's Last Stand" tells the story of Zap, an amnesiac program mistakenly imprisoned as a virus. After unexpectedly gaining immunity to viruses, he teams up with his peers to resist the invasion of the real viruses.
