China Media Group's 2025 Mid-Autumn Festival Gala has received praise from audiences from home and abroad with the innovative breakthroughs in its thematic narratives, artistic expressions, and technological application.

This year's CMG (China Media Group) Mid-Autumn Gala, which aired on Monday, incorporated numerous local cultural elements.

The creative program "Bronze" featured imaginative interactions between Sanxingdui bronze artifacts with AI robots. "The Passionate Youth" skillfully blended a robust industrial aesthetic with vibrant youthful melodies.

Multiple large-scale public viewing areas were set up in Deyang City of southwest China's Sichuan Province, the gala's host location, attracting over 30,000 residents and boosting cultural tourism consumption during the holiday.

"The integration of technology and ancient Shu (ancient kingdom in present-day Sichuan Province) culture was particularly striking, showcasing a vibrant blend of historical depth and modern vitality to the entire nation," said Li Xiaohong, a Deyang resident.

The gala continued the artistic style of "aesthetic, sincere, lyrical, and romantic" of its previous editions. Structured into three chapters -- "Full Moon over the Mountains", "My Hometown", and "Full Moon in Autumn" -- it deeply integrated traditional Mid-Autumn Festival themes with modern artistic expressions through songs and dances, further enhancing the profound sentiments for home and country.

"Though bathed in the moonlight of a foreign land, watching the Mid-Autumn Gala has always made me feel really connected with my homeland," said Jiang Yi, a Chinese student in Singapore.

"The Mid-Autumn Festival Gala was like a digital letter from home for Chinese students abroad. Using the modern brushstrokes of integrated technology and art, it vividly depicted ancient cultural memories, breathing new life into traditional culture," said Wang Xinyi, a Chinese student in Malaysia.

"Watching this high-quality gala enhanced my understanding of the nation's technological progress and social development, strengthened my sense of identity and belonging to the country, and boosted my confidence in its future development," said Lam Chi-wing, a Hong Kong deputy to the National People's Congress.

So far, related coverage of this year's CMG Mid-Autumn Gala has reached a total of 1.406 billion user touches across CMG's cross-media platforms, with over 1,000 trending topics topping search charts on multiple platforms.

According to statistics, the gala was simultaneously broadcast in over 86 countries and regions via the Great Wall TV Platform and more than 30 overseas mainstream platforms. Over 50 million overseas viewers watched the live broadcast through CMG's internationally available channels.

"This wonderful Mid-Autumn Festival gala has brought us closer to our homeland and our families. As an overseas worker, witnessing the prosperity of our motherland fills me with both deep longing and immense strength," said Zhu Chongyang, a member of China Construction Third Bureau First Engineering Co., Ltd.

"Based on the videos that I've watched now about the culture, it shows us that how rich China is with its culture. And then I'm looking back at this video, I've seen how technologically advanced China is essentially, because things like the set that they had, and they kept changing it every few seconds -- it's absolutely amazing to see how something like that could be done," said Tasneem Patel, a graduate student from the University of Johannesburg.
