Russia hits Ukrainian military targets, Ukraine halts Russian offensive operations

Russia on Tuesday reported strikes on Ukrainian military targets, including energy and transportation infrastructure, while Ukraine claimed to have repelled Russian offensives.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Russian forces conducted strikes across 140 areas, targeting Ukraine's energy and transportation infrastructure, storage sites for drones, and temporary deployment points for Ukrainian forces and foreign mercenaries.

Meanwhile, Russian air defense systems shot down 137 Ukrainian drones, said the ministry.

Russian forces also continued their operations in directions including Sumy, Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Dnipropetrovsk.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Tuesday reported 108 fights on the frontline, claiming that its troops held their positions and repelled Russian attacks.

The Ukrainian side also reported 45 military engagements of varying intensities with Russian forces in the Pokrovsk direction on the same day.

China on Friday sent a sea-launched rocket from the waters near the eastern province of Shandong, placing a group of satellites into planned orbit.

The commercial rocket, CERES-1 Y7, blasted off at 04:10 (Beijing Time), carrying the satellites belonging to the Tianqi constellation. The Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center conducted this offshore mission.
