Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region has optimized train services for the study tour season by introducing dedicated ticket counters and specialized support to ensure a smooth travel experience for students and teachers.

On Friday morning, more than 500 students from Urumqi No. 125 Middle School convened at Urumqi South Railway Station to board a high-speed train for their study tour to Turpan. This occasion marked the inaugural study tour train operated by the Xinjiang railway department for the autumn semester.

"This study tour is our first experience in middle school, and I'm really looking forward to it. We will visit the Karez irrigation system, the Flaming Mountains, and the Jiaohe Ancient City Ruins. I can't wait to learn more about the history of the Silk Road, the region's natural geography, and the ancient wisdom of water conservation to enrich my knowledge," said Hu Xinyu, a student of Urumqi No. 125 Middle School.

"Study tour is a wonderful experience. Through it, I hope to understand why the Flaming Mountains are so hot and why Turpan's fruits and grapes are so delicious and sweet," said Tang Haoyu, another student of the school.

To facilitate these educational journeys, the local railway department has set up dedicated ticket counters specifically staffed to manage group bookings. Additionally, designated waiting areas and entrance channels have been set up to guarantee a safe and organized travel experience.

"We have designed customized transportation solutions and planned temporary passenger lines for study tour groups. So far, we have launched 37 special trains for students and study tour groups, providing service to over 40,000 student passengers," said Wang Kaizhou, assistant economist at the Passenger Ticket Management Office of Urumqi Railway Bureau, China State Railway Group Co., Ltd.
