A dazzling array of pet products featuring smart technology and eco-friendly designs that cater to diverse consumer needs are catching visitors' attention at the ongoing China Import and Export Fair in south China's Guangzhou City.

Popularly known as the Canton Fair, the biannual event is the largest trade fair in China. The third phase of the 138th Canton Fair takes place from Oct 31 to Nov 4 in Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong Province, with a focus on products of five major sectors: fashion, home textiles, toys and maternity and childcare products, stationery, and health and recreation items.

At the exhibition area for pet products, buyers can find everything from pet food and toys to clothing and medical supplies.

One of the eye-catching exhibits is a smart cat litter box featuring a detachable design for easy cleaning.

The device can automatically sift the litter, and with an application on smart phones, the product can also monitor pets' bowel movement frequency and weight, which can save time for busy pet owners and let them keep track of their pets' health status.

A smart fish tank also attracted the attention of many overseas customers. It can accurately control the amount and time of fish food feeding through a mobile app, and can also adjust different lighting effects in the fish tank as needed.

Other new products such as automatic pet feeders and smart water feeders also attracted a steady stream of overseas customers to inquire and place orders.
