It is followed by Detective Chinatown 1900 at 3.6 billion yuan, and summer box office leader Dead to Rights at 3 billion yuan.
This year has seen the release of more than 350 films so far nationwide, spanning genres of historical drama, comedy, animation, fantasy, and feature films.
The diverse film offerings not only fueled audience anticipation but also made moviegoing a popular way to spend time with family and friends during holidays.
From the "strongest ever" start of the Spring Festival season, to the explosion of diverse genres and movie numbers during the summer season, and the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival seasons, each key period has effectively boosted the film market.
