China, UAE to hold joint air force training: defense spokesman

China and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will hold a new round of joint air force training in the UAE from December 9 to 22, a spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of National Defense announced on Friday.

"The Chinese and UAE militaries will hold the 'Falcon Shield-2025' joint air force training in the UAE from December 9 to 22. This will be the third time for the two militaries to conduct the training series, which will help the two sides enhance mutual learning and deepen practical cooperation in defense," Jiang Bin, the spokesman, told a press briefing in Beijing.

Hong Kong stocks ended higher on Friday with the benchmark Hang Seng Index up 0.58 percent to close at 26,085.08 points. The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index gained 1.01 percent to end at 9,198.3 points, and the Hang Seng Tech Index rose 0.84 percent to close at 5,662.46 points.
