Russia said on Wednesday that its armed forces had captured one more settlement in the Dnipropetrovsk region, while Ukraine, on the same day, reported 87 combat clashes in the frontlines.

The Russian Ministry of Defense said in its latest report that over the past 24 hours, units of its east group of forces gained control of the Gerasimovka settlement in the Dnipropetrovsk region, and struck Ukraine's transportation infrastructure used to support military operations, a drone assembly and testing center, and a factory for assembling long-range attack drones.

The Russian air defense forces also intercepted and destroyed 180 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones, the ministry said.

Meanwhile, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that, as of Wednesday afternoon, Ukrainian troops had engaged in 87 combat clashes with the Russian forces across six directions, with the most intense fighting continuing in the Pokrovsk direction.

The Ukrainian forces repelled multiple Russian offensives and conducted strikes on an oil refinery in Russia's Slavyansk, the Ukrainian side said.
