Border clashes between Thailand and Cambodia continued on Tuesday, with troops from both sides battling for control of strategic high ground along the frontier.
A China Media Group (CMG) reporter entered a high-risk area less than 10 kilometers from the border on Tuesday, where Thai and Cambodian forces battled for nine days over "Mountain 677", a strategic high ground along the frontier.
Some areas along the border are still under military control, and local residents said they could still hear gunfires.
"Last night, there was continuous gunfire, intermittent exchanges of fire, coming in bursts," a resident said.
