The observatory stated that an easterly flow would gradually affect the coast of Guangdong on New Year's Eve. It is expected that a cold front will reach the coastal areas of South China later on New Year's Day. Affected by the subsequent winter monsoon, the northerly wind in the area around Guangdong will be enhanced. The temperature will drop significantly over the weekend following New Year's Day. The minimum temperature on Friday and Saturday can be around 11 to 12 degrees Celsius. The observatory also expects that the weather will be sunny and dry at the start of next week, and it will still be rather cool in the morning.
