Two New Sections of GreenWay in the Kai Tak Development Area Open Today

2025-12-30 18:08 Last Updated At:18:09

Two new sections of the GreenWay in the Kai Tak Development Area for shared use by pedestrians and cyclists are open to the public from December 30th. With each length of approximately 400 meters, the newly opened sections are located at Kai Tak Promenade, as well as Shing Kai Road Garden and Kai Tak Sports Park (KTSP) Dining Cove. According to the Development Bureau, since the newly opened sections are situated alongside Victoria Harbour and the KTSP, they can not only offer users scenic views of the harbour and promote their integration with the KTSP, but also enhance the connectivity of open spaces in the area.

With the opening of the two sections, the about two-kilometre GreenWay on the western side of the runway area, extending from Shing Kai Road Garden via KTSP Dining Cove to Kai Tak Promenade, overlooking Victoria Harbour, has been fully connected, with accessibility and connectivity significantly enhanced. To date, about 4.3 kilometres of the GreenWay within the Kai Tak Development Area are open.
