The "China Red" fleet of 4K/8K ultra-high-definition broadcast vehicles dispatched by China Media Group (CMG) arrived at the renowned San Siro Stadium in Italy's Milan on Tuesday.

This marked a key step for CMG's coverage of the upcoming Milan-Cortina d'Ampezzo Winter Olympics from initial preparations to full-scale deployment.

The convoy departed from Beijing in mid-November 2025.

Independently designed and integrated by CMG, the vehicles measure 17 meters in length and can expand to 5.8 meters in width during operation.

Together, the fleet can accommodate 34 workstations across five functional zones, with switching consoles capable of handling up to 80 channels of 4K signal sources.

After completing customs clearance at the port of Livorno, the convoy headed north, passing the Milano Ice Skating Arena, a key venue for signal acquisition, production and distribution for short track speed skating and figure skating events, before entering the designated parking area at San Siro Stadium.

The century-old stadium is scheduled to host the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics on February 6.

As an official rights-holding broadcaster for the 2026 Milan-Cortina Games and the only media organization involved in producing the 8K international public broadcast signal, CMG aims to integrate cutting-edge technologies into event broadcasting and signal production.

CMG had reserved a 1,700-square-meter working area at the Milan International Broadcasting Center, along with a 223-square-meter Central Technical Area equipment room. Three studio systems have been established, fully covering core functions.
