The Advisory Council of the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF) held a video conference on Tuesday, where a research report titled "The Belt and Road Initiative: High-Quality International Economic Cooperation" was released.

Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu, who is the convener of the Advisory Council, addressed the meeting.

He said that the Belt and Road Initiative is an international public good that originates from China and belongs to the world, and a practical platform for building a community with a shared future for mankind.

Against the global changes and challenges to the multilateral system, countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative are committed to enhancing connectivity and common development and engaging in mutually beneficial international cooperation, sending a positive signal of unity, cooperation and win-win outcomes, Ma said.

Ma added that China will continue to deepen partnerships with all parties, so that the Belt and Road Initiative can contribute more to the stable growth of the world economy and sound development of international economic and trade cooperation.

Members of the Advisory Council highlighted the significant role of the Belt and Road Initiative in promoting global economic growth and advancing sustainable development.

They noted that the initiative has made substantial contributions to enhancing mutual trust among countries and fostering international cooperation.

They recommended that participating parties strengthen collaboration in areas such as connectivity, international trade, artificial intelligence, and digital economy.

Hailing Belt and Road cooperation as having entered a new stage of high-quality development, the report said that Belt and Road cooperation has enhanced trust among countries and served as a stabilizer in a turbulent world.

Established in 2018, the Advisory Council is a non-profit and international policy advisory body, with the main function of offering intellectual support for the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation. Members of the council come from all over the world, including former political figures from relevant countries and renowned scholars and business people.

China Media Group (CMG) on Wednesday held a send-off ceremony for its team assigned to cover the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games.

At the event, CMG President Shen Haixiong delivered a mobilization speech to rally the delegation.

As an official rights-holding broadcaster for the 2026 Milan-Cortina Games and the only media organization involved in producing the 8K international public broadcast signal, CMG aims to integrate cutting-edge technologies into event broadcasting and signal production.

CMG will, for the first time in history, be responsible for the production of an ultra high-definition international public signals for figure skating and short track speed skating events at the 2026 Winter Olympics. In addition, CMG will also produce 8K broadcast signals for four events: the opening ceremony, the closing ceremony, figure skating, and short track speed skating.

The "China Red" fleet of 4K/8K ultra-high-definition broadcast vehicles dispatched by CMG arrived at the renowned San Siro Stadium in Italy's Milan on January 13, and has completed its setup and deployment.

The century-old stadium is scheduled to host the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics on February 6.

CMG had reserved a 1,700-square-meter working area at the Milan International Broadcasting Center, along with a 223-square-meter Central Technical Area equipment room. Three studio systems have been established, fully covering core functions.
