The death toll in the war-torn Gaza Strip has risen to 71,667 since the conflict between Hamas and Israel erupted on Oct 7, 2023, with the number of injuries reaching 171,434, Gaza's health authorities said on Wednesday.
In the past 24 hours, hospitals in Gaza received five more bodies, including four new deaths and one body recovered from the rubble, the authorities said.
Since the ceasefire agreement took effect on Oct 11, 2025, Israeli attacks have killed 492 people and wounded 1,356 others, according to the Gaza health authorities.

The value of China's import and export trade with Central and Eastern European countries increased in 2025 by 7.5 percent year over year to reach 1.09 trillion yuan (about 160 billion U.S. dollars), hitting a record high according to the latest customs data.
This represents the 10th consecutive year of trade growth between China and Central and Eastern European countries.
The main products imported into China included metal ores and copper materials, while major products exported from China included electromechanical products and labor-intensive goods.
Poland, the Czech Republic, and Hungary ranked as the top three trading partners with China in Central and Eastern Europe.
