China's total social logistics value hit 368.2 trillion yuan (more than 53 trillion U.S. dollars) in 2025 as logistics demand from emerging sectors posted noticeable growth, according to the data issued by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing on Tuesday.
The released social logistics value increased by 5.1 percent year over year measured by comparable price.
The logistics value for industrial products rose by 5.3 percent year over year in 2025, contributing to 82 percent of the social logistics value growth.
The data showed that the emerging sectors recorded a marked rise in logistics demand. The logistics volume for industrial robots grew by 28 percent year on year, while that for new energy vehicles surged by 25.1 percent year on year in 2025.
"In particular, the logistics demand from the manufacturing industries related to new growth drivers, including industrial robots, new energy vehicles, and carbon fiber, maintained double-digit growth rates. This reflects that China's industrial and economic structures are gradually becoming greener and more advanced," said Liu Yuhang, director at the China Logistics Information Center.
The total revenue of China's logistics industry reached 14.3 trillion yuan in 2025, marking a year-on-year increase of 4.1 percent. The index tracking the prosperity of the country's logistics industry averaged at 50.8 percent last year.
"As the industrial structure improves and the capacity of providing logistics services is enhanced, the entire logistics industry will provide crucial support for promoting orderly, efficient, and smooth operations across various industrial chains," said Liu.
