Chinese e-bikes are empowering green mobility at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy.

Cooperating with Dott, a leading European micromobility operator, Chinese company Segway-Ninebot have deployed 5,000 e-bikes and e-scooters in Milan to provide sustainable, efficient transportation for athletes, spectators, and residents throughout the event.

The enhanced Segway Urban A200 e-bikes deployed in Milan offer a smooth, comfortable ride, making cycling an easy daily choice for residents and visitors navigating Milan's streets.

When climbing uphill, the vehicle will automatically detect the gradient through the attitude sensor, boost power output, and then reduce the required pedaling effort, delivering a highly comfortable riding experience.

Besides e-bikes, electric cars made in China have also appeared in the streets of Milan and caught the attention of many visitors.

"I think it's like important steps for automobile world and the Chinese cars are the future. And it's going to improve. It's becoming more popular and it's going to be the future," said a tourist.

Running from February 6 to 22, the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina, Italy are being hailed as a new, highly sustainable model for the Games.

By utilizing existing infrastructure, spreading venues across multiple hubs to avoid new construction, and using eco-friendly technology, the Games are designed to be environmentally conscious.

The 6th Chinese Peacekeeping Helicopter Contingent to Abyei on Saturday successfully completed an emergency mission in support of the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA).

The mission was triggered when a Ukrainian-registered UNISFA task helicopter suffered a sudden mechanical failure that left it unable to carry out its scheduled duties.

In response, the Chinese peacekeeping helicopter unit quickly mobilized, activated its emergency response plan, and dispatched helicopters to fill the operational gap. All four crews from the unit took to the skies that day, carrying out 16 flight missions.
