Hong Kong's stock market closed lower on Wednesday with the benchmark Hang Seng Index down 2.01 percent to close at 25,249.48 points.
The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index lost 1.45 percent to end at 8,483.95 points, and the Hang Seng Tech Index edged down 0.96 percent to 4,829.50 points.
Hong Kong stocks close lower Wednesday
Chinese stocks closed lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.98 percent to 4,082.47 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.75 percent lower at 13,917.75 points.
The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, lost 1.41 percent to close at 3,164.37 points.
The ChiNext Index, together with the Shenzhen Component Index and other indices, reflects the performance of stocks listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
