Preliminary data show 2025 revenue growth of 717 A-share companies

Preliminary financial data showed that more than 710 A-share companies achieved revenue growth in China's stock market in 2025.

As of Thursday, more than 1,000 companies listed on China's A-share market have issued their preliminary financial data for the year 2025.

According to the data, 717 of the companies achieved year-on-year growth of business revenue, accounting for 69.34 percent, and 474 saw year-on-year growth of net profit, accounting for 45.84 percent.

And 421 firms, or 40.72 percent of the total, realized growth in both revenue and net profit in 2025, while the net profit of 76 companies increased by more than 100 percent year on year.

Li Hongzhong, vice chairman of the National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee, on Thursday delivered explanatory remarks on a draft law on national development planning submitted to the fourth session of the 14th NPC for deliberation.

China's top legislature opened its annual session on Thursday morning at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, with Chinese President Xi Jinping and other Party and state leaders present at the meeting which was attended by 2,765 NPC deputies. This NPC session is scheduled to run till March 12.

The draft law aims to provide strong institutional guarantees for the scientific formulation and effective implementation of national development plans, said Li.

The draft law consists of six charters, comprising 38 articles, namely general provisions, formulation of national development plans, review and approval of national development plans, implementation of national development plans, supervision of the implementation of national development plans, and supplementary provisions.
