Massive explosions rocked the Iranian capital city of Tehran at 5:10 on Monday, shortly before the Israeli military announced it had carried out large-scale strikes on infrastructure in the city.
Huge blasts and the sound of fighter jets flying were heard across Tehran. Following the explosions, Tehran's air defense system was activated multiple times.
At around 4:00, the Israel Defense Forces posted a statement on social media announcing that they had carried out large-scale strikes on infrastructure in Tehran, confirming the operation.
