Iran's police, security forces, civilians show solidarity amid US-Israel strikes

Iran's police, security forces and civilians have shown solidarity to fight to the end against U.S.-Israel strikes as the nearly one-month war proceeds with no clear end point on the horizon.

They said that they will keep fighting together to safeguard national security as the enemies intend to split Iran.

"We must never forget that our enemies include the superpower of the world. They attempt to split Iran, claiming that they would 'divide Iran into four parts.' But that is not happening. What they don't know is that many Iranian people, especially the young people, are always ready to sacrifice their lives and even the last drop of their blood for their country," said a member of Iran's security forces.

"The Iranian people are not afraid. We serve in the military, but even ordinary residents are not afraid. They just live their normal lives without fear," said a Iranian police officer.

Iranian civilians said they are standing together with the armed forces to defend the country.

"We give our full support to the armed forces. We must make the United States and Israel realize their respective positions. They are not allowed to end the war and then launch another after some time. They have been threatening us for 47 years," said a resident in Tehran.

"The Iranian armed forces must be more resolute and stronger. The Iranian people are with them. We must regain our rights from the hands of the United States and Israel, because they started this war, not Iran. The Iranian army must continue this war to win back our rights," said another Tehran local.

Many Iranian people said that the United States cannot be trusted and that the so-called negotiations will not yield positive results.

Others said the negotiations must be based on safeguarding Iran's national interests, rather than making concessions to the United States.

"It (negotiation) is completely a fraud and farce. We didn't see any outcomes. I believe the possibility is rather slim in achieving any outcome through negotiations. This war should end in a way that will not further harm the Iranian people. Now the situation is very bad both in Iran and the region, and that's not acceptable," said a local resident.

"We agree to negotiate with dignity so as to achieve all our demands. It's time for us to make clear our demands, especially regarding the Strait of Hormuz and the question of uranium enrichment," said another local resident.

The United States and Israel launched a joint military operation against Iran on Feb 28, to which Iran and its regional allies responded with attacks on Israeli and U.S. interests across the Middle East.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced Friday it had launched the 84th wave of Operation True Promise 4, with the U.S. military base in Saudi Arabia among several targets.

The IRGC said in a statement that its Air Force, in coordination with the Navy, carried out a new round of missile and drone strikes, destroying enemy missile defense systems. The IRGC used both solid and liquid-fueled missiles, as well as drones, to strike the U.S. military base in Saudi Arabia's Al-Kharj governorate. Several large enemy refueling and support aircraft were destroyed or severely damaged in the attack.

The developments came amid heightened tensions following joint U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran on Feb 28.
