The 139th China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou, launched limited-edition cultural and creative ice creams, chocolates, and cookies inspired by the biannual event, offering global traders more than just business deals but a memory that they can savor.
The ice cream incorporates elements of the Canton Fair exhibition hall, featuring the adorable official mascots Hao Bao (male bee) and Hao Ni (female bee), and is adorned with the city's flower, kapok. A bite after a tiring day at the fair is truly refreshing and sweet.
The chocolate not only integrates with mascot design but also creatively combines elements of the Guangdong awakening lion. It tastes soft and delicate.
They have won the hearts of many overseas customers with their outstanding appearance and delicious flavor.
"When I see it for the first time, I see that it's like very cute. That was my first impression and then actually it's quite, really good. I feel like there have milk and this is very good," said a buyer from Madagascar.
"I really like the fact that it's really creamy, really rich in cream. And by the way, the design is actually very nice as well. It's really cute," said a buyer from Zimbabwe.
"The appearance is very nice. One thing I love about this ice cream is for at least there's not enough sugar," said a buyer from Nigeria.
This year's Canton Fair also launched bread, cookies, and lychee pastries, all featuring the fair's logo. These creative food items are available at various shops and cafes throughout the exhibition hall.
Running from April 15 to May 5, this edition of the world's largest biannual trade fair features three distinct phases, each focusing on different product categories themed on "Advanced manufacturing," "Quality home life" and "Better life."
The Canton Fair is held twice a year in Guangzhou. Established in 1957, it is the longest-running of several comprehensive international trade events in China, and has been hailed as the barometer of China's foreign trade.
