China urges the relevant parties involved in the situation of Strait of Hormuz to adhere to the ceasefire agreement in a responsible manner, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Guo Jiakun said at a press briefing in Beijing on Monday.

"As the situation in the Strait of Hormuz is sensitive and complex, we have expressed our concern over the U.S.'s forced interception of the relevant vessels. We hope that the relevant parties will abide by the ceasefire agreement in a responsible manner, avoid escalating conflicts and heightening tensions, and create the necessary conditions for the restoration of normal passage through the Strait," said Guo.
