Chinese railway authorities have arranged special trains for football fans during the five-day May Day holiday to facilitate their travel between cities to watch games.
The Nanchang Bureau under the China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. (China Railway) has added special trains for three consecutive days, enabling fans from the cities of Ganzhou, Yingtan, Pingxiang and Xinyu in east China's Jiangxi Province to travel easier to watch games.
Railway stations have designated exclusive waiting areas for the fans, set up themed photo spots and special activity zones, and deployed youth volunteers at key locations to provide one-stop services, offering warm and thoughtful support for the football fans during their journey.
"The station's arrangements were exceptionally thoughtful, with dedicated passageways and waiting areas. Riding a special train to cheer on my hometown team really makes the experience very special," said Ruan Lina, a fan from Yingtan.
"We coordinated with the event organizers in advance to establish a fast-track service, hoping the football fans can enjoy the game happily and return home safely," said Xu Zhaohua, a passenger service supervisor at Yingtan Station of China Railway Nanchang Bureau.
To support the Su Super League, an amateur football tournament featuring 13 teams representing cities across east China's Jiangsu Province, China Railway Shanghai Bureau has arranged four special fan trains: two running between the cities of Yancheng and Zhenjiang, and two between the cities of Huai'an and Changshu, precisely meeting the fans' travel needs for the matches.
On April 12, Chu Super League, named after the ancient Chu culture rooted in central China's Hubei Province, officially opened in Huangshi City.
During the May Day holiday, China Railway Wuhan Bureau added 18 special trains for football fans to commute between Wuhan and cities including Enshi, Shiyan, and Xiangyang.
It has also established green channels, increased staff members to guide passengers, and provided transport connection services to offer convenience to the fans going to a football match.
