The high-level development of China-Russia relations injects strong stability into a changing and turbulent world, Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said at a press briefing in Beijing on Monday.
Guo made the remarks in response to a media query about Russian President Vladimir Putin's statement on Russia-China strategic coordination after the May 9 Victory Day celebrations.
"China and Russia are comprehensive strategic partners of coordination for a new era. In recent years, under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Putin, China-Russia relations have remained a high-level development, which injects strong stability into a changing and turbulent world. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the China-Russia strategic partnership of coordination, the 25th anniversary of the China-Russia Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation, and the starting year of the China-Russia Years of Education, which bring new historic opportunities for the growth of bilateral relations," said Guo.
"China stands ready to work with Russia to continuously uphold the spirit of everlasting good-neighborliness and friendship, comprehensive strategic coordination, and win-win cooperation, constantly strengthen cooperation in various fields and promote the building of a more just and reasonable global governance system," said Guo.
